Good Article review progress box
|
1a: Prose is concise and lucid. Only question: "Griswold filled vacancies left by curators during or in the aftermath directorship of his predecessor, David Franklin." Does this need a "of the" after "aftermath"?
- Yes, that makes more sense
1b: Layout and words to watch look good. N/a for fiction and lists. Can the fact that Griswold is the ninth director, mentioned in the lead, be included in the body and cited?
- Added an Artforum article to support that detail and the date of appointment
2a: Refs look great and are consistently formatted, nice work.
2b: No source quality concerns; many good local news sources, augmented with occasional press releases. Well-sourced throughout.
2c: Spotcheck revealed sources to support statements they purported to support. No OR concerns.
2d: Nearly clear. The line "His father, Robert Edward Griswold, was a clinical chemist, and his mother was a homemaker." should be rephrased to avoid directly copying ref 2 (Litt 2017): "his father, Robert Edward Griswold, was a clinical chemist and his mother was a homemaker."
- Slightly rephrased that sentence
3a: No broadness concerns; the article appears to cover the major aspects of Griswold's life and work.
3b: I'm unsure about the last paragraph of the article body, aside from the first sentence. Nothing from "In 2020" to "limited hours and attendance." mentions the article's subject. I'm sure he presided over the museum at this time but neither of the main points in these sentences (the large museum gift + the pandemic) seem to be about him or his work much; rather, they feel like they belong in a History section on the museum's page. Can you either cut these sentences or firmly link Griswold to them?
- Agreed - removed the portion on the gift and reduced the remaining sentences to one sentence linked to Griswold
4: BLP but no neutrality concerns.
5: No stability problems!
6a: File:Pierpont Morgan Library NY 2006 crop.jpg is CC-BY-SA 3.0 on Commons. File:Cleveland Museum of Art (18662822189).jpg is CC-BY 2.0 on Commons. File:Drusus Minor portrait head, probably after 23 AD, Roman, North Africa, marble - Cleveland Museum of Art - DSC08282.JPG is CC0 on Commons. All good!
6b: Images are well-chosen and relevant.
All in all, this page is really close! I didn't recognize his name but Griswold was head of the Mia while I lived in Minneapolis, so that's neat. Putting it on hold for a week so improvements can be made; lmk if you need more time Aranya. Kindly —Collint c 23:03, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
