[edit]I'm removing this unwikied insertion and putting it here. Perhaps it's a different Gillespie? -- Khazar (talk) 17:40, 11 July 2011 (UTC)
William Gillespie wrote Johnston's Motor Car but he was not a Scottish born actor. He was an Irish patriot from Ballybofey, Co. Donegal Ireland. He was married to Frances McIlwee and they had 14 children. He is buried in St Mary Cemetery in S'Oneill Co. Donegal just out side Ballybofey. William gillespie wrote many songs and poems and was a proud member of the IRA. He kept a farm in S'Oneill which is still maintained by his surviving family with many plots occupied by his descendants.
