Re Involvement in Atlantic Slave Trade

There's some dispute over whether GIbbs was actually involved in the Atlantic slave trade. I reverted an edit made by a family member who did not declare a conflict of interest regarding this, but am opening a discussion here for anyone who has any more information. The cited source (Oxford Dictionary of National Biography) for this point does not mention the Atlantic Slave Trade as part of Gibbs' business dealing, although his involvement in bonded labour in the guano trade in South America is mentioned. - Naushervan (talk) 03:32, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
