Most decorated Canadian serviceman?
Hi, I was revamping several award tables for Canadian soldiers in Wikipedia and I was wondering why William George Barker rather than Billy Bishop was considered Canada's most decorated serviceman. Excluding the tally of non-gallantry medals, which Bishop would exceed Barker by several times, Barker only had a VC, two DSOs, three MCs, and a bronze star of the Croix de guerre (regimental-level recognition). However, Billy Bishop had a VC (and) the Legion d'honneur (France's VC), along with the Order of the Bath, two DSOs (like Barker), one MC, the British DFC and two bronze palms of the Croix de guerre (army-level recognition). The sheer weight of Billy Bishop's awards alone should make him Canada's most decorated serviceman. —Glasses1956
