- Hid didn't. "nee Scholfield" means that was her maiden name, Davenport is his father's middle name (see the lead where it is William D. Hare). Aboutmovies (talk) 11:42, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

- Possible, John Davenport (Ohio politician) is William D.'s grandpa, and Homer's dad Timothy could certainly have been from Ohio (age wise maybe John's son). But I haven't seen anything saying so. Aboutmovies (talk) 19:25, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
