Attorney general vs. solicitor general
[edit]Sources conflict with each other on what position William Fitzgerald was elected to in 1826.
- Newspaper - confirms election as "solicitor general"
- Newspaper - confirms vacated the role of "solicitor"
- Family Papers - uses phrase "attorney general"
- Congress source - uses phrase "attorney general"
Perhaps these phrases are meant to be used interchangeably, but some clarity may be needed on what are the best phrases to use: "sixteenth judicial district" and "attorney general" OR "sixteenth solicitorial district" and "solicitor general". --Engineerchange (talk) 08:16, 1 February 2021 (UTC)
