The New York Times article incorrectly states that the Jeannette crew was saved due to their sending of a request for aid before the ship went down. This is incorrect, the crew was saved by Siberian natives and a Russian convict. Celtics67 (talk) 05:15, 19 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
