Son Edward

[edit]

I have read in Google Books, snippet view of vol. 4 of William Hickey's memoirs, of an epileptic son Edward. This may or may not be the Edward Dunkin who in April 1789 was admitted to Queens' College, Cambridge ("Dunkin, Edward (DNKN789E)". A Cambridge Alumni Database. University of Cambridge.). This is right on the time when his father could have arrived in England. If not, something of a coincidence. Charles Matthews (talk) 09:42, 21 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Strikingly an Edward Dunkin of Bushfoot is known, marrying a Bostonian around then.[1] He was the father of Benjamin Faneuil Dunkin. Charles Matthews (talk) 09:46, 21 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

On the other hand the William Hickey book suggests Edward the son sailed the other way. Charles Matthews (talk) 15:59, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
