[edit]Besides clerical posts, which are quite easy to reference from the Fasti Ecclesiae Anglicanae, he was the William Douglas who was Fellow of the Royal Society (1800). This is a bit harder to verify, but is in a note in the Fanny Burney letters. Google Books snippet view for me, so this would take more referencing. Charles Matthews (talk) 10:12, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
