more work needed
[edit]I cleaned this up somwhat, although unable to access needed resources at a local history library. I write because it does not make sense that he came to Virginia to become rector at Jamestown (although that was closer to the Stith properties), since the colonial capital had been Williamsburg for decades previously. I tried a quick google search for rectors at Bruton Parish (in Williamsburg), but that only listed his brother, and gave Thomas as the Bishop of London's representative. JSTOR apparently has an article about this man's position vis a vis the Bishop of London, but I cannot access it, nor reliable genealogical resources right now.Jweaver28 (talk) 23:50, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
