The correct format would have been William Betham I and William Betham II or Sr./Jr.
In this case, William born in 1749 was the son of William (born 1698), who was the son of Edward.
Since it's not clear, though, if they all had the same middle names, I removed the I and II and left the years in the article title (rather than making them William Betham II and William Betham III).--CaroleHenson(talk)11:05, 4 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
