[edit]Hi from Port Albert Canada ( on Lake Huron). I'm new at this and even though i prefer to write with a quill pen which might tell you something about my age, i would like some extra general information on the life and family history of JOHN OXENHAM ( real name William Arthur Dunkerley). Specifically, in a small tan booklet titled " WIDE HORIZONS" ( reprinted July 1945) i just this past weekend discovered amongst some old books.... this English writer and poet dedicated this booklet to the memory of his son Hugo in the Royal Flying Corps 1914 - 1918.... and i am interested in researching this family information and information on his daughter famous childrens author Elsie ( Erica?) J. Oxenham..... and this author's 1941 added comment on page 17 to his inspiring poem " Dies Irae - Dies Pacts" if i have that old English type deciphered correctly. Any additional information greatly appreciated - thank you ! frank r. gardiner ( gardinersales@sympatico.ca )
- for daughter Elsie see article Elsie J. Oxenham also had daughter Erica who wrote comparatively little - although she did write two biographies of her father - J.O. and Portrait of J.O. --Abbeybufo 15:00, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
