Physics geneology?
[edit]Does anyone know who was van Stockum's doctoral supervisor? ---CH (talk) 07:45, 1 September 2005 (UTC)
- I'm his great-nephew and I've got his degree certificate right here. It's all in Latin, but it was awarded on 2 July 1937. The "Praefectus" was Thomas H Holland, the "Facultatis Decanus" was W M Carter and the "Secretarius" was W G Fleming. I am guessing that the first one was his supervisor. - Chris Oakley <coakley@cgoa....demon.co.uk>
Students beware
[edit]I created the original version of this article and had been monitoring it for bad edits, but I am leaving the WP and am now abandoning this article to its fate.
Just wanted to provide notice that I am only responsible (in part) for the last version I edited; see User:Hillman/Archive. I emphatically do not vouch for anything you might see in more recent versions, although I hope for the best.
Good luck in your search for information, regardless!---CH 20:04, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
