The Real Carver: Expansive or Minimal?
[edit]The NY Times says tht Raymond Carver’s widow is spearheading an effort to publish a volume of his stories pre-Lish. ( See http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/17/books/17carver.html?ex=1193198400&en=ef2288f85b950c2d&ei=5070&emc=eta1 )
And Carol Sklenicka of San Francisco, says she is the author of a biography of an unauthorized biography of Raymond Carver forthcoming from Scribner and plans to "tell the true story". ( See http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/books/article2681557.ece )
Was Carver just a front man for Lish ?

Fair use rationale for Image:CarverR Will.jpg
[edit]Image:CarverR Will.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Night school?
[edit]Why does the search term "Night school" redirect here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.182.86.31 (talk) 04:11, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- Seems 'Night school' now has a redirect page, so this looks to have been cleared up. --Chronotopian (talk) 18:00, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
Plot Summaries
[edit]I've been writing brief plot summaries for each of the stories, to even out the inconsistency from before - a couple of stories had paragraph summaries, and the others were only a line long.
However, it looks now like with 22 stories, this is going to make the article quite long. The question is - is this too long? If so, should plot summaries be on this page at all? The guidelines on fiction are not specifically clear on this, with regards to short fiction. One solution that I'd propose is to simply list the stories here and use this page for critical reception, themes, etc of the collection overall. Then I can produce individual pages for notable stories that have good criticism. 'Neighbors' already has a page, but there will be a few others. Thoughts? --Chronotopian (talk) 15:20, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
