Will-Erich Peuckert!
[edit]Dear editors,
please fix Peuckert's name by hyphenating the first name(s) to read "Will-Erich Peuckert", and find a pretty extensive article in the _German_ Wikipedia under that title (which already links to this page).
"folklorist" is likely not a good charaterisation of a scholar in the field of humanities called "cultural anthropology" (or similar) these days - originally called "Deutsche Volkskunde" by "Brothers Grimm", but today researched within many cultures. From what I've heard, Peuckert may have been the first German scholar in that field to look beyond German-language "cultures").
I'm not a specialist (only the son of one of Peuckert's students), so I hope there's a more qualified person around to undertake the task of translation from German.
