[edit]Surely as this man lived in England for many years, the concept of strong national links means that the spelling theatre is more apposite. Kevin McE (talk) 15:13, 12 November 2011 (UTC)
- I explained this on some of the other pages I've been creating lately. I am American and write English the way I was taught. I would rather be consistent than convenient in places. This article is not so long, but some of the others have been much longer and for me, the story is much more imporant than the occasional "u" or "re" that someone else, if he feels the need, can add later. As I explained it before, actors who suspect they can't be consistent often punt rather than attempt an accent and fail and later be treated to ridicule for having failed to be consistent. I don't "do accents" either. Marrante (talk) 17:42, 12 November 2011 (UTC)
- Not sure what you mean by punting in that context, but otherwise no criticism intended: just wanted to check whether there was a reason why it shouldn't be changed. Kevin McE (talk) 19:18, 13 November 2011 (UTC)
- Whoops, that got left in by accident. I probably got interrupted while changing the sentence. Marrante (talk) 21:35, 13 November 2011 (UTC)
