Name
[edit]I have never seen an accent on his middle name before. He was known as Wilfrid Wood (the village hall in Barnack and the gallery in Stamford Arts Centre, named after him use this form) and generally signed his work W. R. Wood; I would choose to call the page simply Wilfrid Wood with disambiguation to Wilfred Wood and Wilfrid Woods and if no objections are placed here will do so. - The Oxford Reference source gives the accent; I got it from there. To my simple mind, if it is omitted then Rene would rhyme with scene and dene rather than with 10a as one would expect. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 21:46, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
- Nobody actually objected to the move so I finally remembered to perform it. Nedrutland (talk) 11:47, 3 April 2018 (UTC)
