Reimbursement?

The text refers to "a $642.75 mileage reimbursement" in 1912. Is that actually in the source? It's astronomically high. A railroad ticket from Seattle to Boston in this period cost about $100, using luxury accommodations on top-flight trains: [[1]] . MarkBernstein (talk) 16:37, 2 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
