Should this song have an article? It hit the top ten on the Hot 100. It's in the Eras Tour. It's a TikTok trend. So...should it? 63.65.131.178 (talk) 14:02, 10 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • "a song written and recorded" → is there a reason why it is not "a song by" like other Swift's articles, since Swift wrote, produced, and recorded the song? It is a self-written song and Swift's self-written songs have this same consistent wording, my apologies
  • "She and Jack Antonoff produced the track, which is a Southern Gothic-inspired chamber pop song that incorporates dense echo and strings" → "A Southern Gothic-inspired chamber pop song that incorporates dense echo and strings, it was produced by Swift and Jack Antonoff"
  • "The lyrics were inspired by Swift's bitter feelings while reflecting on her teenage rise to stardom, and they compare a narrator to a wicked witch and a trapped circus animal, detailing how her upbringing in an asylum contributes to her callous and viscous nature." → "The lyrics were inspired by Swift's bitter feelings while reflecting on her teenage rise to stardom. They compare a narrator to a wicked witch and a trapped circus animal, detailing how her upbringing in an asylum contributes to her callous and viscous nature." or "The lyrics were inspired by Swift's bitter feelings while reflecting on her teenage rise to stardom, comparing a narrator to a wicked witch and a trapped circus animal and detailing how her upbringing in an asylum contributes to her callous and viscous nature.", are better wordings in my opinion
  • Why isn't there a "background and release" section?
  • Why are Zem Audu and Evan Smith linked (redirected to Bleachers), but not Sean Hutchinson and Michael Riddleberger (which would also redirect to Bleachers)? You are free to remove the links or link them all, but linking them all would be a better option for consistency since the personnel section links them all
  • "The song is track 10 on Swift's eleventh studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, which was released on April 19, 2024, via Republic Records" → "Republic Records released "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?" on April 19, 2024, as The Tortured Poets Department's tenth track." (This and details that TTPD is Swift's eleventh studio album should've been discussed in the background and release section)
  • Why the beginning of the "music and lyrics" section has details about the lyrics, then there are the credits, then the music details, then the lyrics details again? I think having a paragraph that includes the music details and the credits, and another paragraph that includes Swift's commentary and the lyrics details, would be a better option
It looks amazing to me now! Medxvo (talk) 05:54, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Several critics compared the song's theme to that of "Anti-Hero" (2022), a track about Swift's self-critique and self-loathing. Rob Sheffield of Rolling Stone described "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?" as a ...." → "Several critics compared the theme of "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?" to that of "Anti-Hero" (2022), a track about Swift's self-critique and self-loathing. Rob Sheffield of Rolling Stone described the song as a ...."
  • "a 1962 play" → "a 1962 play by Edward Albee"
  • "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?" received mixed reviews. Several critics remarked that the song had a heavy tone that made it hard to listen to." → "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?" received mixed reviews, with several critics remarking that the song had a heavy tone that made it hard to listen to."
  • "Folklore and Evermore (2020)" → Shouldn't it be "Folklore and Evermore (both 2020)"?
  • "Billboard considered the track a "live standout" among the newly-added songs" → "Billboard considered the track a "live standout" among the set list's newly-added songs" or any other wording that includes "the set list"
  • "Swift's description of the act as" → "Swift's description of The Tortured Poets Department act as"
  • The track length isn't mentioned/referenced in the body
  • Why are there two references for the liner notes?
  • Adding a sample would be good since there were lots of description of the song's composition

Everything else looks fine!  On hold for now. Medxvo (talk) 22:14, 1 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Medxvo:, I've addressed all points above. Except for the audio sample which I'm currently quite lazy to do so myself... Ippantekina (talk) 03:34, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
