Former teacher
[edit]https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1791439/whitgift-school-paul-dodd-child-abuse
Please can the page be updated to show that Paul Dodd, a History and PE teacher at Whitgift in the 1980s, pleaded guilty on 14th July 2023 to sexually assaulting boys as young as 10 at the school. He was fired, and placed on the List 99 watchlist (for those deemed unsuitable to teach children), but the then headmaster, David Raeburn, gave Dodd a 'glowing reference' when he emigrated to New Zealand shortly afterwards, enabling him to continue teaching children.

School type
[edit]Just because I was curious following the most recent edits to the page, I took a look at https://www.whitgift.co.uk/about-us/accreditations which seems to indicate they are referred to as an Independent school rather than a Private one. They are similar terms but we should probably use what they call themselves. Primefac (talk) 21:57, 22 June 2024 (UTC)

- Remove BTEC given the school no longer offers such qualifications - Remove CCF Partnerships given those too are also no longer offered, and increase detail about the school Corps of Drums. Fheuh32d (talk) 15:08, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
- Partly done: I know it's hard to prove a negative but the CCF partnership appears to have sources, so we would need either an announcement of cancellation or some other indication that it doesn't happen any more. I've removed the BTEC as unsourced. Primefac (talk) 15:38, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
