Original voltage

[edit]

The article says the current power is 600 V (supplied by the accumulator trailer, I presume), and that originally (in Lisbon and/or in Duluth?) it was 550 V. However Lisbon trams are powered at 600 V (a source, p.8) via overhead wiring. The current CCFL fleet, which includes 48 old cars much like this one, was mostly overhauled in 1995, but I don’t think that envolved a change in voltage, as operations never ceased (unless engines can work with both 600 and 550 V DC, and here’s my ignorance showing). So the question is: Was the Lisbon network nominally powered at 550 V DC, not 600 V DC, back when this car was sold off? And a source for that? Tuvalkin (talk) 11:37, 14 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Retitle/Move this article?

[edit]

Is there any particular reason why this article is titled "Whitehorse trolley" instead of Whitehorse Waterfront Trolley? If there is no strong reason for this, I would like to move this article to "Whitehorse Waterfront Trolley", as the system seems to self-label as the "Waterfront Trolley" (and, thus, "Whitehorse Waterfront Trolley" is a good title for disambiguation purposes), not as the "Whitehouse [T/t]rolley". If no objections are proffered, I will plan on moving this article to "Whitehorse Waterfront Trolley" in the near future... --IJBall (talk) 21:45, 24 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Done – article moved to Whitehorse Waterfront Trolley, after no objections proffered here. --IJBall (talk) 17:41, 30 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
