notability
[edit]The notability of this campground is currently unclear, since no secondary sources are cited. By the notability criteria for organizations, independent reliable sources are required to make sure that the subject is notable. These sources might be press coverage about the campground, or books in which the campground is mentioned, maybe extensive coverage in travel guides.
For the time being, I am replacing the “importance” tag with “notability”. Sorted as part of the Notability wikiproject. --B. Wolterding 12:05, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Accuracy
[edit]The article does not describe the camp very accurately. First of all, there are two seperate sections to White Wolf. The National Park Services (NPS) run a camping area right next to the Delaware North Companies (DNC) section - not Curry Co. The NPS campground is first come first serve and a more typical campground with visitors bringing their own camping equipment. The DNC campground has twenty-three canvas tents with a cots and a wood burning stove for cold nights along with four bath cabins with running water. These sites are reserved for almost a year ahead of time, although if tents or rooms open up they will be first come first serve. The picture of the lodge is part of the DNC campground, but anyone is welcome. The lodge has hot meals that are served to guests at breakfast and dinner. Dinner is mainly based off of reservations, but breakfast is open to the public. White Wolf is known for having some of the best food in the park. The general store consists of a closet sized room with a minimal selection. There is not a gas station located at White Wolf. It is a somewhat secluded location that runs off of a generator for the main buildings. If visiting be prepared to not have any cell phone reception or internet. It is an incredible location and many hikes can be started at this site. Some of the best spots can be found in the immediate surroundings (off trail). The best people to ask about these locations are the employees of White Wolf. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.225.241.118 (talk) 02:26, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
