Speedy deletion?
[edit]I'm kind of curious as to why a band with two commercial releases is put up for speedy deletion when several indy rock band that will never release an album nation wide have a pages on Wikipedia. In my view, if a band released an album on a major lable, that's notable. This band in question was also somewhat successful with their debut album and their videos were in good rotation on MTV. I don't understand what's not notable about all that. (HairMetalLives (talk) 23:48, 19 December 2007 (UTC))
- I didnt' put the speedy tag on it, but I can why someone might have: you don't have any citations for the albums, nothing to demonstrate they exist. I'm pretty sure if you could just get citations for them, there wouldn't be any issue and the tag would disappear. Pharmboy (talk) 00:00, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. What kinds of things should I find? I linked to an interview of the original guitarist. I'll see what else I can come up with. Also, how long do I have? I have other things to do tonight; I didn't think this would be a problem. (HairMetalLives (talk) 00:05, 20 December 2007 (UTC))

- Well, looks like that is no longer an issue. It pays to create an article on paper with a few citations before you first post it. There is so much garbage that gets posted and ends up speedy, that sometimes a good article gets thrown out with the bathwater. Pharmboy (talk) 00:25, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
- I'll definitely be using either the sandbox or paper next time, believe me! Thanks for your help; I apreciate it. (HairMetalLives (talk) 00:31, 20 December 2007 (UTC))
