Reviewing now. --Jens Lallensack (talk) 17:13, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
- Before the white-winged tapaculo's description, populations of tapaculos in the Cordillera de Colán belonging to the Magellanic tapaculo complex were thought to belong to the neblina tapaculo, whose type locality is close to the region. – This is hard to follow, and I think that terms such as "Magellanic tapaculo complex" need proper introduction and explanation.
- Attempted to fix it.
- The discovery of genetic data – Does genetic data have to be "discovered"?
- I can't think of a better word.
- I would probably just write "Subsequently, genetic data suggested that …" (and change the rest of the sentence accordingly), I don't think that "discovered" makes sense here. Alternatively, "recovered" or "obtained" would work. --Jens Lallensack (talk) 20:04, 24 August 2024 (UTC)
- Jens Lallensack, changed to obtained. AryKun (talk) 20:24, 24 August 2024 (UTC)
- The discovery of genetic data suggesting that the neblina tapaculo represented – "represented"? Is it extinct?
- The neblina tapaculo as it was thought of at that time represented two lineages; obviously, following krabbei's description, the neblina tapaculo currently just represents one.
- The discovery of genetic data suggesting that the neblina tapaculo represented two distinct lineages, as well as an individual of the Magellanic tapaculo complex with vocalizations unlike those of the neblina tapaculo, spurred further research into the taxonomy of this complex, resulting in the description of the white-winged tapaculo – again, had to read this several times, this needs some work in terms of prose.
- Attempted to fix it.
- A cladogram would be very nice.
- Added.
- clade, molts – need wikilink
- Done.
- 3.2–3.9 kiloHertz – "kilohertz"? And why not using "Hertz" as done earlier in the text; using the same unit makes these numbers easier to compare.
- Changed to hertz.
- That's all from me. --Jens Lallensack (talk) 17:13, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
- Jens Lallensack, see my responses above. AryKun (talk) 19:47, 24 August 2024 (UTC)
- Looks good! One reply above. --Jens Lallensack (talk) 20:04, 24 August 2024 (UTC)
