End of Fashion Controversy Mention?

End of Fashion have been criticised for copying the guitar riff from the Pixies' "Where Is My Mind?" for their song "O Yeah".

In a review,

Jonathon Miller wrote

"End of Fashion are having no problem appealing to the 95% of people that haven't heard (and still remember) the Pixies' "Where Is My Mind?" and have never experienced a truly exciting live show, and if that's what the band is aiming for, then they are a complete success."

In some of their later live shows, Justin Burford has taken to inserting lyrics from the Pixies song at the end of "O Yeah", as a tongue-in-cheek move against the critics and on occasion has played the entire "Where Is My Mind?" breaking straight into "O Yeah". 203.164.82.70 13:30, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

Fight Club-induced resurgence?

I'm sure that Fight Club resulted in a spike in Pixies sales, but is it really fair to say that the movie resulted in a "resurgence of interest" in their music? my interest in the Pixies never needed to be re-surged, so that seems like a kind of subjective statement, no? 69.255.206.130 (talk) 02:40, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Weezer

Took out mention of cover by Weezer as I think this is false, there's a cover by someone (probably Nada Surf) circulating p2p as them but sounds nothing like Rivers Cuomo. Anyway, if anyone wants to put the reference back in, please back it up with a citation. 86.129.15.132 19:40, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

Nada Surf did a cover of "where is my mind" on a tribute album. Weezer WAS on this album as well but they did "velouria" Cheesecake42 (talk) 21:00, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

Old depression era song

The melody comes from an old depression era song, maybe older. I was hoping someone would have mentioned that, since I don't know what it's called. 99.182.89.28 (talk) 03:08, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

Beginning

What is the stuff at the beginning? The "whooo" and "stop". AmericanLeMans (talk) 18:54, 11 September 2011 (UTC)

Microsoft Kinect

Is a version of this song being used in the current Microsoft ad? It's done in a classical/piano style. Lugnuts (talk) 18:54, 17 November 2011 (UTC)

Quote in the leader

It's supposedly from the October 1997 issue of SELECT magazine, but I can't find a copy of it online. If anyone can confirm, we can source it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rgambord (talkcontribs) 17:20, 8 July 2012 (UTC)

Trivia?

The entire article seems like trivia. I think it should be removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2604:6000:1110:606D:10D4:D7F3:621F:B062 (talk) 02:10, 7 July 2014 (UTC)
