I don't think this article should be merged with the other WWVA article since the WWVA Jamboree has a history of its own. /--Popiloll (talk) 18:45, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
I completely agree. RadioBroadcast (talk) 23:18, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
Wheeling Jamboree
[edit]Various individuals continue to add references and links in this article to a new Wheeling organization/program created in 2009 that is calling itself the "Wheeling Jamboree". Wheeling Jamboree is not related to WWVA Jamboree, the subject of this article, that ran from 1933-2007, when WWVA discontinued the program format. Rather, Wheeling Jamboree is a new program by unrelated organizations/individuals that have copied some of the format and themes of the original program, and that is being falsely marketed as a continuation of the original program. Contributions to this article should not list links to websites of non-article specific resources. Any questions as to the history and organizational structure and ownership of WWVA and the WWVA Jamboree (Jamboree USA) should contact WWVA, the owner and sponsor of the Jamboree. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.136.5.118 (talk) 23:00, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
You are incorrect! The current management corporation was formed in 2007 transitioning production facilites along with musical staff from Jamboree USA over to The Wheeling Jamboree and continued to be broadcast on WWVA until December 2008. It continues to be broadcast on The Jamboree Radio Network. This can be confirmed with Clear Channel Radio owners of WWVA in Wheeling and those individuals with legitimate credentials associated at The Capitol Theatre, WWVA and the law firms arranging the transition will confirm. Recordings of these on-air broadcasts confirming dates are available to the public by request. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.125.219.57 (talk) 18:06, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
