There is more to life than game shows
Considering the fact that Wheel of Fortune is more than just a game show, the Wheel of Fortune article has been moved to Wheel of Fortune (game show). Kramden4700 03:18, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
- I suggest it be moved back. The game show is undoubtedly the most commonly used meaning of the term. Have a look here as well. -- Chuq 13:55, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
- Chuq is obviously taking a very short sighted view of things, which is sadly typical of my fellow Americans. Assuming that the American version of anything it what most people among the billions in the world are searching for clearly violates the WP:NPOV guidelines, specifically violating the Nationalistic bias point and additionaly violates most of the points listed at WP:CSB - simply put the American point of view is not a netutral point of view. The article as it stands now violates WP:NPOV as it seems to assume that people know at least what the show is and have at least seen it. The article had w, as much of Wikipedia does, an American bias, which the editors of this article and related articles simply don't even see they have. To assume that most people would search for the American version simply proves this unspoken default bias. Given the chance, the bias needs to be removed as it will not only make Wikipedia have more of a neutral point of view, but may even educate Americans that our country is one of many and we have to get along with people from other places. One step towards greater global peace and understaning is to be more inclusive and take the chance to educate. The American user should find the disambguation list of Wheel of Fortune, as it will be the most neutral option and will remind them that there are things outside of the United States, something that is really needed, now more than ever. - I'm Australian. That doesn't stop the article about the US version of the show - which was the first version - being the most commonly used meaning of the term. If you really wanted to be non-American-biased, the article would be moved to Wheel of Fortune (United States game show). -- Chuq 22:36, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

Base name
Either Wheel of Fortune (US game show) should be moved here, if it is the most common expected use, or Wheel of Fortune (disambiguation) should be moved here, if not. There's no reason to have a base name article redirect to a disambiguated title. If the disambiguation page is moved here, the show should be moved to Wheel of Fortune (U.S. game show) (with periods), per WP:MOS#Acronyms and abbreviations. -- JHunterJ 01:28, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
