photos and placement
[edit]It would help the article to have more photos of wheat details, such as a sheaf of wheat in mosaic design inside the building, per linked NRHP nom doc photo set. This is largely what the building is notable for.
For the moment, having a 2nd photo in the article which shows the "Wheat Growers" text in mosaic at the front is best available support beyond pic of front of building. About photo placement, there is a wikipedia guideline wp:IMAGELOCATION mentioned in an edit summary that suggests about placement, but certainly does not prohibit multiple photos in an article. I restored the photo that was just removed to a different location now. I preferred the previous location; adding to the right however. Whatever. Keep the photo in though, it supports the article. --doncram 21:11, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
- I don't see how a second photo showing the name of the hotel illustrates the "wheat" theme. I'd expect that the name of a hotel would occur in several places: on the sign in front; on or behind the front counter; on the towels; &c. For example, I could work the local Motel 6 and get photos of "Motel 6" occurring in several places in the building; but that wouldn't support a statement that the hotel had a hexafold theme.
- Per MOS:LEAD, "...the lead section may contain optional elements presented in the following order: disambiguation links (dablinks), maintenance tags, infoboxes, foreign character warning boxes, images,..." I'm removing the image before the infobox in accordance with this.
- If it's desirable to add more photos, I'd suggest lengthening the article. A section on Kimball's history would be very appropriate; it'd also be a good thing to discuss the agriculture of Kimball County by way of explaining how the hotel's name is appropriate. Once the article text extended well below the bottom of the infobox, there'd be room for more illustrations. Ammodramus (talk) 03:08, 12 June 2013 (UTC)
