[edit]This article reads like a 3rd rate Q record review:
- The song joins the infectious pop-rock melodies of Definitely Maybe with the more sophisticated lyrics of (What's the Story) Morning Glory, preaching universal tolerance and the acceptance of all ideas and beliefs in a typically straightforward, Mancunian way
- It is a testament to Noel Gallagher's all-conquering self confidence[...]
There's also an awful lot of unsourced/unverifiable information and speculation throughout. In short, it's a total mess. --Dtcdthingy 13:00, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Oasis' Whatever Single Cover.jpg
[edit]Image:Oasis' Whatever Single Cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Irish Documentary
[edit]Oasis: Guth - Episode:5 - Thursday, 24.10 @ 9.30pm, Irish documentary called Guth broadcast in Ireland on the channel TG4. Mostly in English, parts are Irish language. I can view it on the web player, but I'm not sure if that will work for long. At the 14 minute mark a commentator says that according to Paul Gallagher the song "Whatever" is about Noel rejecting a narrow sense of Irishness put forward by his father. -- 109.76.83.59 (talk) 21:43, 28 August 2014 (UTC)
- Oasis Guth Also found it on Youtube but not sure if is an official authorised video, so again, link might not last. -- 109.76.83.59 (talk) 21:53, 28 August 2014 (UTC)

Genre
[edit]I'm wondering why the Genre section is non-existent ScotlandLaddie04 (talk) 18:36, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
- Because editors like you keep messing with it and adding unsourced genres. dannymusiceditor oops 20:42, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
I'm not sure that you've noticed that many other song pages on Wikipedia haven't got reliably sourced genres so I that's very fairScotlandLaddie04 (talk) 14:38, 10 November 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Guys if you're reading this page and see this I just want to say Whatever isn't pop music regardless of what the source says or what the genre says. ScotlandLaddie04 (talk) 11:31, 2 February 2019 (UTC)
