Peter Pan Complex
[edit]On a recent issue of Kerrang! Magazine Tom said:
“This is such a great song. Mark [Hoppus, bassist] wrote this song. He wrote a really cool guitar riff, which he didn’t do that often, but he did this one and it was beautiful. The song originally was called ‘Peter Pan Complex’ but the label didn’t want us to call it that because they thought people wouldn’t get it. It was one of those things that, later, we got pissed about because we felt we should have left it called that. For God knows what reason, people always think this song is called ‘What’s My Aga Again?’, which is annoying.
Was this song easy to write?
This song was really easy to put together. It had such a great melody. Mark’s words were fantastic and when we started playing it, the way it just layered together was perfect. But for some reason, I didn’t think that it was this huge hit single. I kept getting into the studio to listen to it over and over again and people were telling me that it was going to be that, but I didn’t understand it. I think because up to that point, we hadn’t had a big single, so I didn’t really know what they were talking about. But it became a signature Blink 182 song.”
Were Mark’s lyrics based on a true story?
“Mark has done just about everything you can imagine with girls and on dates, but I couldn’t tell you whether the lyrics were based on actual events because I can’t really remember. I wouldn’t put it past him, though!” blink 182 rock!!!
I don't have any further data about the issue itself, such as date, etc. but you can check this on other sites. I saw this on [1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Greedyredbag (talk • contribs) 02:22, 9 December 2005
Covers?
[edit]Hellogoodbye is credited with covering this song in the 2006 warped tour. Was this on the tour or on a CD. If it was live, that needs to be clarified, because the song is clearly not included on the warped tour CD. 202.216.126.25 22:04, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

Release Date
[edit]I don't think that the release date for this song was in November of 99. It had to be May of that year because with this song being the first single off the album it would be released before 'Enema of the State's due date, which was in June of that year. The band started touring in April that year because I saw them in Dallas playing Edgefest, which was late April, and they played alot of the songs from the record during that show. Also, I know that the next single for "All the Small Things" was released towards the end of that summer because I remember hearing it on the radio around my brother's birthday. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aptivadave (talk • contribs) 16:41, 5 July 2012 (UTC)
