Sources
[edit]There's nothing in the sources that currently exist which are independent, third party sources which address this mall's notability. Corvus cornixtalk 22:25, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
- Wait a few moments, then, and I'll find some. Articles don't write themselves instantaneously. – Swid (talk · edits) 22:28, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
- I would venture to say the mall has (unfortunate) notability now. Keeper | 76 23:06, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
- Omaha.com has an article that can provide an excellent source, however I am too worn on this subject to work on it tonight. [1] Big Merl (talk) 01:42, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

- The New York Times article sources it as the largest mall in Nebraska, which is enough notability that an AFD would fail. The incident yesterday certainly helps its notability. I remember opening day at Westroads ... quite an exciting event for me, as it was the first real shopping mall I had ever seen.Kww (talk) 01:48, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
Electricity
[edit]I seem to remember seeing that this mall (at one time) was run off of several diesel generators instead of the power grid. This would certainly be unique. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.179.151.146 (talk) 18:34, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
Theatre section is incomplete
[edit]There was a theatre complex in the basement called the "Six West". I went to it all the time as a kid, they had this great game room/arcade in front of the snack / ticket stand. From what I can dig up it opened in 1969 (just after the mall itself did in 1968) and closed in 1999. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.108.236.28 (talk) 16:28, 3 July 2011 (UTC)
- I don't remember Westroads having a movie theater in the basement. Crossroads Mall had a basement theater, the entrance was in the middle of the mall section on the south side. There were video games in the lobby along with the box office and snack bar. It was an unusual movie theater because it had columns in the seating area that blocked the screen from certain seats. I don't remember how many screens the Crossroads theater had. It closed in the mid 80's during one of the remodels. I remember the Westroads 8, two outside and six inside. The Jones Store
[edit]You guys need to get the facts straight on The Jones Store whatever they may be. If you read this article is basically says that The Jones Store was operating inside of Montgomery Ward while it was still open, and that later Younkers was operating inside of a still open Jones Store. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.232.213.69 (talk) 22:51, 4 April 2015 (UTC)
