Westernisation

Subject is on Westernisation, not Europeanisation. Not all of Europe is Western. And not every country with territory in Europe is Western. Countries with historical Westernisation programmes, but not part of the West should not be included in general conceptions of the West. A Western country, by definition, cannot Westernise. Unsourced statement

"Western culture is commonly said to include Australia, Canada, all European member countries of the EFTA and EU, the European microstates, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Other Eastern European countries like, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Russia, Serbia, and Ukraine, prior to the period of the Soviet Union and the SFR Yugoslavia, also played an important role in the adoption or expansion of Western culture."

I think we should remove the statement above because the source contains absolutely different information and does not support the statement. Sources must support the material clearly and directly. Unsourced or poorly sourced material that is contentious, should be removed immediately. Cyanmax (talk) 09:28, 30 July 2021 (UTC)

@Cyanmax: How is the source from Yale University Press unreliable? It is a known fact that Russian is spoken in Central Asia, Siberia (obviously) and as well as the Caucausus. Horope (talk) 16:04, 1 August 2021 (UTC)

August 2021 content dispute

I was brought here by this RFPP request. Tagging editors who appear to be involved: @Cyanmax, Horope, Noelcubit, and Archives908: I'm sure most—if not all—of you are familiar with WP:3RR. Please try to adhere to that. Cyanmax, from my review, you appear to be repeatedly editing against consensus. You may want to follow your own advice, which I see you've dispensed on multiple user talk pages. Continuing with this behavior may result in a block. Airplaneman (talk) 18:54, 1 August 2021 (UTC)
