Structuralisation

This article is vague and wandering and difficult to follow. If it were reformatted it would need to be separated out into what Western Thought is generally used to mean today, and how it may have historically developed. And the history would need citations. It should also link to other pages on historical events rather than summarising nearly two thousand years in one paragraph. I'm not entirely sure how much of it is salvageable though.
