Which logo?

[edit]

I have no dog in this fight; I'm just asking. Has WIU-QC even settled the issues of logos, wordmarks, and all that schtuff? This article has been extant for only about a month, and I've already seen four different logos used, in the following order:

File:WIU-QC.jpg

Obviously, the first is just the WIU logo used at Macomb. I'm wondering if the second (or even the third and the fourth) are just the handiwork of some Quadenizens* who thought the riverside campus needed to have something distinct from Macomb, but I really don't know. I personally like the third, because the building in the other three is obviously not a part of the QC campus, but it doesn't matter what I like, we need to do what's official. Dashes

[edit]

In the opening sentence of the current version of the article, there are spaces on either side of the dash between "Western Illinois University" and "Quad Cities". Doesn't look right to me, but I thought I'd defer to what the university wants to do. Judging from their website, they don't put spaces in there. Now that I think about it, the title of the article doesn't have them either. I'm going to change it to match the school's website. HuskyHuskie (talk) 04:45, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Tabletop

[edit]
The Copyeditor's Barnstar
I award this Barnstar to User:Tabletop for catching an error that had existed for six months--since the day Western Illinois University-Quad Cities was first created--and that none of us who have edited the article had caught. Nothing is more embarrassing than a spelling error in an article about education, and on behalf of my fellow editors, I want to thank you for scraping the egg of our collective faces.
