“LOCATION MAP NEEDED FOR ORIENTATION”
This section needs a location map to orient readers to the region’s position in Africa. It should also show the Sahel, the Western and Eastern Sudan regions (the climatic regions, not Sudan, the country), and if possible the approximate northern limit of tsetse fly incidence at around 1000 mm rainfall (isohyet), which I believe marks or marked the southern limit of horse- and cattle-raising range.
More detail about agriculture and the difference from that of the Sahel and Sudan regions, and about major cities and towns would be most helpful again for orientation.
For a quick fix, though not a perfect one, a copy of the map appearing in the article on the “Cameroon Line” would certainly help, especially with an appropriate caption, but I don’t know how to transfer it, and am too lacking in confidence about my knowledge of the area to risk writing new map notes for fear of introducing errors.
VERY SORRY FOR THE INEPT FORMATTING. — Preceding unsigned comment added by FurnaldHall (talk • contribs) 23:48, 30 March 2019 (UTC)

[edit]There is much given over to the borders of the plateau to the south and northeast, but what is the border - and was is the region called - to the west in Nigeria? --Criticalthinker (talk) 09:14, 26 August 2018 (UTC)
