Mint picture
[edit]Is there a way to find a picture of the mint? --74.76.161.106 (talk) 18:13, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

- Can this image be used on wikipedia, and under what license should it be placed? --Coingeek (talk) 20:20, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- It's probably public domain. But it doesn't matter now that I uploaded the one I took (And that's as close as they'll let you shoot from ... a nice guard there told me I couldn't take pictures in the parking lot). Daniel Case (talk) 18:01, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
- Something's wrong here. The building's description in the article mentions it is "one-story", having "four turrets at the corners". Yet the included photo looks to be two stories, and I see nothing that looks like turrets anywhere. The photo on the Mint's website (linked in the article) shows a building with three very prominent archways, which aren't seen in the Wiki photo. (Though if the Wiki photo shows the rear of the building, that could explain the lack of archways.) I don't doubt the photo is authentic, but can someone clarify the description? - According to a children's page published by the U.S. Mint here: http://www.usmint.gov/kids/coinnews/mintfacilities/swf/ , a second-story was added during a 2005 remodel. I've update the article to reflect this info. Kacela (talk) 21:43, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
Took a hot two minutes to check 90W on Mapquest. There is a building of the correct shape and location, except that with a close magnification it turns from white building to black parking lot or tarred roof. Photoshopped? Curiouser and curiouser.Lynxx2 (talk) 16:13, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
They have the power to cloud men’s minds, so that they can not see them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A00:23C5:E08D:8A00:9999:42C:7F4A:242E (talk) 16:19, 26 February 2020 (UTC)
Dates of coin manufacture
[edit]The date that the West Point mint started producing coins is incorrectly given in the article as 1973. This is the date on the US Mint website, which is also wrong. I have updated it to 1974, the correct date according to the Annual Report of the Director of the Mint. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Physics-fan3.14 (talk • contribs) 21:38, 9 October 2012 (UTC)
