At the rate I'm going, it'll be in use all this week. If anyone wants to make a significant edit in the meantime, please let me know - but I'd appreciate the extra time, jguk 20:33, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

ICC

Good way to improve

Make a map of which countries make up this team... 141.157.82.135 23:34, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

I think we should mention that West Indies is the 4th nation to play a test (or what ever is correct). Other national cricket team pages mention this. --Kiwimhm 18:17, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

Countries in the West Indies team

Was looking for a list of countries that make up the West Indies team, couldn't find one.

Was also wondering why Bermuda are a seperate team? Stutley 21:17, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

Bermuda is not in the West Indies or the Caribbean. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.28.8.187 (talk) 15:54, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Sabina Park

Andy Sandham's triple century, the first one in Test cricket, was made at Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica and not Kensington Oval, Barbados as stated here. see http://content-wi.cricinfo.com/england/content/player/20058.html 208.138.29.134 06:19, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

National Anthem Played for West Indies?

I was researching cricket for a quiz that I'm conducting, and a question occurred to me:

Which national anthem is played when the teams line-up for the ceremonies before a match featuring the West Indies (E.g. the ICC World T20 Cup 2009)?

This will be a valuable addition to this page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.167.95.138 (talk) 06:10, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

David Rudder's "Rally 'Round the West Indies" was played during the 2009 World Twenty20.72.27.84.34 (talk) 05:03, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

So what happened to the flag file?

So what happened to the file with the flag? Did someone delete it somewhere? This is what I find really frustrating (and a bit stupid) about wikipedia - a file gets deleted and then it is as though it never existed. You can't find out when it was deleted and why unless you search through page upon page of deletion requests. I'm willing to bet that whoever deleted it probably doesn't know anything about the flag they were deleting either other than that the file might have gone against some rule they invoked.72.27.215.34 (talk) 06:08, 28 January 2010 (UTC)

West Indies flag missing

The West Indies Cricket flag is missing!. However, all other nations playing Cricket has their flags e.g.  Australia. As such currently, a person who edits Cricket related pages in Wikipedia can not add the West Indies Cricket flag. I kindly request someone to create it so that it can be used 152.226.7.202 (talk) 00:05, 26 October 2010 (UTC)

The flag still exists: here but is copyrighted, probably why it isn't used that much. A bit silly but there you go. Saebhiar Adishatz 02:51, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
I have just proposed a solution to the West Indies cricket flag issue here.Kwib (talk) 11:15, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

The SVG for the pre 1999 West Indies flag, which is in the public domain, has been created. The use of this would result in a flag icon that looks like this: . I think that, as per the points made here, this would be acceptable to use. From what I have read in relation to the proposal, there appears to be no objection to the use of the flag (only objections to use of the current flag); this is public domain, there appear to be no legal or copyright issues. Therefore, I propose that we should go ahead and use this.Kwib (talk) 13:13, 28 February 2011 (UTC)

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.

Fair use rationale for File:Cricket West Indies Logo 2017.png

File:Cricket West Indies Logo 2017.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a non-free use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
