Area Definition
[edit]Always a sticky one. Any alternative ideas? hjuk 16:13, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
Religion
[edit]I'd imagine you're on pretty shaky ground asserting that West Green is a mainly protestant area - look in 2001 census online - you'll find the stats there. hjuk 21:16, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
- Religion section deleted. It conatined only a note about the area being predominantly protestant for which there is no evidence. This was tagged in Aug 2007. The 2001 census stats on religion for West Green Ward offer no additional info on type of christianity practised in the area but do show that only about half the population even report themselves as Christian, let alone protestant - so area seems not be be predominantly protestant. New references welcomed.

Duckett's Green
[edit]Duckett's Green neighbours both West Green and Harringay, but is not mentioned here as 'Nearest Places'. I'm not a geographer - but is Duckett's Green a subregion of West Green or not?
According to Google Maps, it is not. Moreover, "*Stanmore Road to the West and Northwest*" is not corroborated by Google Maps, which draws the Northwest border along Belmont Road, but includes Stanley Road below West Green Road.
Duckett's Green is defined on the South Edge by West Green Road, to the East by Belmont Road, to the North by Ivatt Way & Langham Road, and Green Lanes/Westbury Avenue to the West and Northwest, with the corner including just the bus station and tube station having been stolen by Wood Green.
However, since May 2022 there is the electoral ward of West Green, which is substantially larger than the district described in this article, and which does absorb Duckett's Green in its entirety, (and steals back the bus and tube station)!
I have amended the borders and relationship accordingly. (20040302 (talk) 10:34, 4 June 2024 (UTC)).
