Fair use rationale for Image:Crossrail icon.png
[edit]Image:Crossrail icon.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Platform numbers
[edit]Why haven't the platforms been renumbered? Jackiespeel (talk) 17:39, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
... and when did the railway milk dock/distribution depot close? ('The proverbial someone' can create a list of such decommissioned platforms (of which there are a number in the London area), tracks (eg Rayners Lane tube station) and suchlike.) 21:19, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
Chiltern Railways
[edit]The Chiltern Railways service has been discontinued. Can someone add it to "Historical Railways" in the table, please? I've had a go, but it's beyond my limited abilities... Juniper334 (talk) 14:30, 26 June 2023 (UTC)

- And reverted. We don't do this for post-privatisation TOCs, because there have been so many changes of route, TOC or stopping pattern. If we did this for one railway station article, we should really do it for all 2,500, and it would overwhelm some routeboxes. Historical services should be confined to those which ceased operation prior to 1997. There has been discussion on the matter at WT:UKRAIL. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 23:04, 26 June 2023 (UTC)
- Fair enough, at least the information isn't technically incorrect. Juniper334 (talk) 13:43, 7 September 2023 (UTC)

Crash from 26 August 1972
[edit]This looks to have been a hefty crash similar to the 1989 one, but it could not be added because apparently Flickr is not a reliable source. Can anyone shed some light on it? Real shame that it has to be left off the article just for the sake of formalities, even though the images are uncontroversial and in plain sight. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 18:57, 19 December 2023 (UTC)
