New route diagram

[edit]

I created a shorter but wider double-column version of the diagram in the sandbox. I felt it would be too WP:BOLD to simply change the existing, so I am instead asking for comments. AlgaeGraphix (talk) 01:14, 24 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like an improvement to me. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 20:32, 24 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

West Coast Route Modernisation

[edit]

Does anyone think the whole saga of the 1999-2010? WCRM needs its own Wikipedia article? GRALISTAIR (talk) 12:59, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you've got more information to add than what is already recorded here then an independent article could be good. I imagine there's a lot of information that isn't particularly relevant to the WCML today but could be useful if contained in its own article. NemesisAT (talk) 14:07, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Well it would not happen overnight. There is all the lead up and all referencing and House of Commons etc questions, to make the article truly encyclopedic. It is certainly something I would enjoy doing but do not want to do a huge amount of work if the article then gets rejected by an over-zealous reviewer. Chicken or egg I guess GRALISTAIR (talk) 15:01, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I noticed some of your articles got rejected in the past. I thought they looked good! I tend to just create the article straight away, occasionally someone will move it to the draftspace. Unfortunately I can't commit to helping write such an article as I should be spending less time on Wikipedia. NemesisAT (talk) 16:22, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Well I did write the article and it did get accepted so that is good. I keep getting suggestions form SuggestBot saying this article needs more references but it looks pretty good to me GRALISTAIR (talk) 15:17, 28 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Wolverton bend: citation help needed

[edit]

At Wolverton railway station#Wolverton bend and Northampton Loop, there are two statements that need a citation or they will have to be deleted.

Can anyone oblige with a book reference as apparently the only info online is wp:CIRCULAR. Thank you if you can. (I have also put this question at talk:Advanced Passenger Train.) 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 23:29, 21 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Class 730 "Aventra"

[edit]

Some of these units have been introduced on the south section from London Euston to Bletchley. Article should be updated to reflect this https://www.londonnorthwesternrailway.co.uk/travel-information/whats-new/new-trains https://railuk.com/rolling-stock/lnr-welcomes-class-730-into-passenger-service/ Memediatek (talk) 13:54, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
