June, 2008 deletions
[edit]Greetings editors!
I have recently made some large edits (deletions) to this article. These deletions are in accordance with the guidelines set by the Wikischools Project here at Wikipedia (I just added their banner above). Specifically, there is a section of their guidelines that covers what not to include in articles about schools. In general, as it applies to the deletions that I made:
1. National and State team championships are good to include. Other championships are generally not what you want to include.
2. Individual state championships are generally not to be included, unless they were something of the nature of setting a national record, or were a four-time state champion, etc. In other words, the individual accomplishment needs to be rather exceptional.
3. It is generally not good to name coaches, teachers, or students, unless they have accomplished something notable beyond just their job. A band director who has recorded music nationally, would be worthy of inclusion. A coach who holds a national record would be.
4. Most important: references and citations! Anything that you add can be challenged and deleted if it is not properly referenced and cited. References should be from third party, neutral, reputable sources. Citations should be properly formatted in the article.
Best of luck to your editing! LonelyBeacon (talk) 00:41, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
