POV
[edit]I understand that this guy is a great cricketer and all, but the tone of this article is completely out of keeping with encyclopedic standards. I hesitate to edit, as I know little about cricket, but I do know enough about Wikipedia policies to know that this does not meet them. Please try to tone down the hagiography. - True, it is a little over the top. I'll give it a go later if nobody else gets to it first. -dmmaus 06:56, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

WP Cricket importance assessment
[edit]I think "low" was definititely too low. I've set it to "high", though I'm open to being convinced that it should be "med".

Politics
[edit]Hall's career in politics could be expanded to a section on its own if I could find some sources. I can find glimpses of it but not in reliable sources. I can't find out when he was appointed to the Senate, for example. He apparently left politics as a result of an 8% pay cut placed on the public service by his government, but no sources actually saying this. It's a bit frustrating. -- Mattinbgn (talk) 20:53, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
Also, Hall attended university in the UK. Does anyone know which one? Did he complete his degree/diploma? -- Mattinbgn (talk) 21:44, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
Great stuff
[edit]This is a really good piece of work. Just wondered about this:
- Hall himself claimed that it was his finest hour
Could finest hour be placed in quote marks? It would then counter objections that the section header is POV. --Dweller (talk) 10:26, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks. It most certainly could and I have now done so. Cheers, Mattinbgn (talk) 13:46, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
To be added. Knighthood by Q.E. II
[edit]Queen Elizabeth granted him a Knighthood.
