[edit]WP bios are, of course, a community effort.
When writing a bio, it’s not always clear what the community will find most interesting/important. AfC articles don’t have a talk page, so my original submission was conservative and included additional criterion like citation volume (e.g., the database was highly cited) or the fact that it was cited in foreign language academic publications, which WP guidelines sometimes say are important for academics (or perhaps former academics as the case here). The consensus for now seems to be that this was “overkill,” but that’s probably a good thing in a new submission.
Per request, I’m going to trim the citations down to a max of three per phrase to hopefully bring the article in line with WP guidelines. If there are still issues, let me know.
Some of the excess citations were genuine overkill, and some of them resulted from deletions by others to the original intervening text attached to the citations (e.g., text high citation volume, nature of the blogs referencing the subject, etc). For now these things may only be of interest to Wikipedians, who know how to find them in past revisions in case citation volume, nature of the media mentions, etc. becomes interesting to anyone in the future.
I’d like to thank everyone for their input & contributions so far. What else should be done? Tgsdxh918p (talk) 23:14, 29 November 2015 (UTC)
