Poster of W. Rubuntja

[edit]

I have a magnificent (if aged and marked) poster showing two of his paintings (landscape and dot paintings of the same sacred place and with him pictured in the middle holding a boomerang for the Aboriginal Areas Protection Authority, titled: "Two Laws Together". I also have a lovely (typical) landscape painting he sold me once showing the same sacred place from another angle.

I wonder if any readers would tell me, please, if they have any objections, or if they can find out if any one else (particularly family) has objections, now that some years have passed since he sadly left us, if I posted photos of them to this site? Thank you for your help. Cheers, John Hill (talk) 11:32, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

John Hill - if you are still around - I am not sure what the rules are governing photos of artworks. Perhaps ask at the Village Pump? There is one photo of one of his pics now in the article, but I've never been sure enough to upload my own. I came across that poster you mention while editing yesterday and noted it (see in the Art practice section), but only see your note now. It would be good if it is allowed, to have it in the article.
