Merge proposal
[edit]There's a new article for the company that runs it, HICAL. Much of the content overlaps (as the company was set up solely for the purpose of the launch site). Hence, merge for short text and context. Klbrain (talk) 19:35, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
- Copying here a comment in opposition to a very similar (now closed) proposal from Talk:Wenchang Space Launch Site#Merge proposal that I think will also apply to this proposal:
- "HICAL is the first Chinese non-governmental organization to manage a launch site, and is expected to participate in additional Chinese commercial launch sites in the near future. I believe it would not be advisable to merge, as it would provide valuable information. Sakuav (talk) 23:55, 7 April 2024 (UTC)"
- Merge would keep the information. It seems that HICAL also own the spaceport, not just manages it - am I correct? Викидим (talk) 20:09, 12 May 2024 (UTC)
- Clarification: Yes, a merge would keep all the information. Note that the other proposal was withdrawn by me at Talk:Wenchang Space Launch Site#Merge proposal precisely because HICAL manages Wenchang Commercial Space Launch Site, but not Wenchang Space Launch Site. So, the arguments in the previous discussion certainly don't apply here. Klbrain (talk) 20:20, 7 November 2024 (UTC)
