Location
[edit]It would be useful to have its location in Philadelphia outlined in the article for people not in Philadelphia. Capitalistroadster 19:59, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
- Both Wachovia Center and Wachovia Spectrum are shown in their infoboxes as 3601 S. Broad Street. They can't both be there, and Mapquest photo view shows that the Wachovia Center is further south on Broad Street, while the Wachovia Spectrum is at Pattison Avenue, with parking lots in between. --DThomsen8 (talk) 00:12, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
- "3601 S. Broad St" corresponds to the street address for the SE corner of Broad St. and Pattison Ave but is also used to represent the entire SW quadrant of the Philadelphia Sports Complex which encompasses that portion bounded by Broad St., Pattison Ave, 11th Street, and I-95. There are two structures on this plot, the Wac Spectrum and Wac Center (which includes an office building attached to the east side, and Comcast SportsNet in a building attached to the south side of the Center) all of which share the 3601 street address with the rest of the plot. Previous building?
[edit]What was on this site before it was built? --Ragemanchoo (talk) 15:15, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
- The Wachovia Center sits on the site previously occupied by the Philadelphia Municipal Stadium which was built in 1925 for the 1926 Sesquicentennial Exposition. (The facility was renamed JFK Stadium in 1964.) The area it occupied (bordered by Broad Street, Pattison Avenue, Terminal Avenue, and 11th Street) was originally known as East League Island Park.Centpacrr (talk) 19:39, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
Construction Cost?
[edit]In the infobox the construction cost is stated as $210 million, but in the body of the article it is stated as $206 million. Anyone know what the real figure is? 69.141.14.51 (talk) 23:59, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
Add WP:NBA?
[edit]Should I add WP:NBA to the list of WikiProjects for this article? 67.171.172.44 (talk) 17:36, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
Rename article for arena's new name?
[edit]Should this article be renamed for the arena's new name? Since 1996, this arena has already had three names and is being renamed the Wells Fargo Center before the start of the 2010-11 National Hockey League season. Can this article be renamed "Wells Fargo Center (Philadelphia)" with redirects from the arena's former names?[1] Bill S. (talk) 23:22, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

Name change summary
[edit]Wachovia was defunct in the beginning of 2011, so the arena's name was changed to the Wells Fargo Center around the time Wachovia went out of business. 96.227.141.184 (talk) 11:51, 16 May 2018 (UTC)

- Wells Fargo Center (Philadelphia) → Wells Fargo Center
- Wells Fargo Center → Wells Fargo Center (disambiguation)
– There are a number of buildings named "Wells Fargo Center" in the United States, but the NHL and NBA arena would appear to be the primary topic, with about 3/4 of the pageviews coming here [1]. 162 etc. (talk) 17:59, 22 January 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 19:46, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose Simply due to the vast amount of buildings called that, I don't think it's a good idea to declare any the primary topic, as it would result in WP:SURPRISE for anyone not looking for the stadium, even if that is only 1/4 of the total visitors.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 23:30, 22 January 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose per the above. There's what, about a dozen venues with this name? Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 09:39, 23 January 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose as there are far too may other centers with the same name to determine WP:COMMONNAME. Yosemiter (talk) 23:34, 4 February 2022 (UTC)
