Overcitation
[edit]This article has so many citations as to be almost unreadable... are 8-10 citations to reliable sources needed to prove the sentence "His decision to put himself under further surveillance has been cited as an ironic gesture and a symbolic way to increase transparency in the Chinese government"? Perhaps just 1 or 2 reliable sources per sentence would be better. Khazar2 (talk) 21:37, 3 June 2012 (UTC)
- Okay; I believe the 6-8 citations now remaining in the article cover all of the article's claims. If anyone's interested in seeing the other references as a basis for future expansion, they can be found in the earliest drafts of the article's history. Khazar2 (talk) 22:03, 3 June 2012 (UTC)

Can someone please explain why this happens? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.89.177.165 (talk) 14:31, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
- Ai Weiwei or his supporters must have changed it on their end; I've removed the link accordingly, now that there's no content there. Khazar2 (talk) 16:02, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
