I don't know how to do it and I don't want to mess things up. I did change the article, hopefully improved it, added things like geolocation and categories and also created links to the article but only to the English name of the institute as this is an English WP article and there is an established English name. The German name, i.e. this article should get a redirect to the English name, and the article itself should be moved to a new article space named Weierstrass Institute for Applied Analysis and Stochastics.
Thank you for doing this (if someone wants to teach me how to do it or direct me to where it's described, thanks all the muchoer!)--WernR (talk) 10:15, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
After I have created this entry within the english WP as a translation from the corresponding article within German WP, this one soon got labeled as „lacking references“. Full of enthusiasm, I was thinking carefully about how to introduce good (mostly external) references. After doing so, the page got (in addition to the label mentioned above) labelled as „A major contributor got close connections…“…
I still would like to contribute to improve the page aiming at raising the quality to a stage where at least one label can be removed. But here I am in a quandary: Do I introduce further references (I personally think the references of the page are quite good now, but as this seems not to be the case compared with WP standards, I am ready to continue efforts), the level of my contributions would rise. I also had the idea to, contrariwise, remove all my contributions (apart from the mere translated version from German WP). Not the way to improve quality (from my point of view), but could help to get rid of the attribute of „being a major contributor“ of the page.
