Spelling

[edit]

I've attempted to use english-english rather than us-english for this article. However, the word carburetor has been spelt carburetor rather than carburettor for constancy with the main carburetor page. The spelling of the title of the reference books is per the original spelling on the book cover. Please do not try to "correct" these.

[edit]

The page was beginning to read a bit like advertising for companies like Webcon UK and Weber North America. I've tried to remove the marketing buzzwords like exclusively and extensively - I don't think these would be verifiable. The simple external links should be enough. --Xagent86 (Talk | contribs) 01:47, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Up- Down- and Side-draught

[edit]

The page mentions updraught (obselete?) Weber carbs, shows a picture of downdraught Weber carbs but does not mention a sidedraft Weber. FWIW Lamborghini used downdraught W's in the Miura V12, sidedraught in the Espada V12 and downdraught in the Urraco V8 car models. Cuddlyable3 20:46, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Differentiation Between Legitimate, Spanish Made Webers, and knock-offs produced elswhere

[edit]

After some shallow research, I found that what I thought was a genuine Italian Weber was in fact a cheap knock-off under the a similar name. This article needs to address the availability of counterfeit Weber carburetors and information on genuine ones. I've already included a link to the Italian site, but I haven't done enough research to support a whole article revision. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mankray (talkcontribs) 22:31, 24 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
