Shoud this page not be integrated with webserial, since they are both the same kind of things, one is video and the other is about text/comics Serton (talk) 12:59, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

  • No, I think they are clearly separate art forms. That would be like saying that comic books and television shows are the same thing because they are serialized. Billbowery (talk) 04:37, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

Web series vs Podcast

I think podcasts and web series are pretty much the same thing, except that the term "podcast" has a specific origin from being distributed to iTunes/iPod users. But they both are the same thing: audio/video series in an episodic format that is distributed on or through the Web/Internet. Should this article be used to refer to web series which are scripted/dramatic in content, while podcasts refer to the larger medium of both scripted and non-scripted syndicated audio/video online-distributed series? — Preceding unsigned comment added by RayneVanDunem (talkcontribs) 17:03, 14 September 2013 (UTC)

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Web series. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

History section too dense?

While fixing a typo (which I'm only 99% sure I did correctly), I spent some time parsing through the History section. From my outsider perspective, it comes across as very dense and hard to follow. There are a ton of links to many, many IPs. If no one else finds this to be a problem, I can accept it being just me. I'm thinking some kind of Cleanup tag would be appropriate, but I wasn't 100% sure. CaptainAngus (talk) 02:48, 14 January 2022 (UTC)

Feel free! I think part of the reason it feels dense is probably because of that merger I did last year (getting rid of that wretched "web television" page). So, I apologize in advance for that... Anyway, it probably should be updated, but I'm too stretched thin with other commitments to do anything. In fact, this year, I'm planning to scale back being on Wikipedia a bit, at least for a while. --Historyday01 (talk) 03:08, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
